Project scope consists of roadway widening and resurfacing, curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm sewer, water main, intersection signalization, pedestrian signal improvements, street lighting, and parkway restoration. The project improvements include:

· Additional and improved turn lanes at Chestnut/Waukegan and Glenwood Waukegan intersections
· Sidewalk replacement
· Storm sewer extensions
· Modernized traffic and pedestrian signal installation
· Driveway closures and reconfiguration
· Pavement will be widened and resurfaced
· Street lighting replacement

November 2013 – End of Construction

This week Berger Excavating completed punch list work on the project consisting of minor storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main items.  This also included leak detection of the new portions of water main.  During the next few weeks the Village of Glenview and IDOT will be on site conducting final walk through inspections of the project, the streetlights will be turned over to the Village for maintenance, and the traffic signals will be turned over to IDOT for maintenance.”

The past two weeks Berger Excavating and their subcontractors has been working on punch list work on the project.  This consisted of replacing signage that had been damaged during the winter, minor curb repairs, streetlight testing and  completing the final touches on sanitary, storm and water main related items.

Next week Berger Excavating is scheduled to complete the remaining punch list items.
