Two weeks ago Berger Excavating was onsite grading parkways in preparation for topsoil installation early in the week.  Late that week, the landscaping subcontractor was onsite installing trees in various locations on the project and topsoil Waukegan Rd.  The landscape subcontractor also began sod installation on the east side of Waukegan Rd.  Additionally, two weeks ago the electrical subcontractor continued work on street lighting items including handholes and foundations.

Last week the electrical subcontractor was onsite early in the week continuing work on street lighting items.  Additionally, the electrical subcontractor changed the traffic signal timing at the intersection of Waukegan Rd. and Chestnut Ave. to reflect the final timing of the traffic signals.  Due to cold temperatures late in the week, no work took place onsite.

This week the electrical subcontractor is scheduled to continue working on street lighting and traffic signal items.  The electrical subcontractor intends to have the new traffic signals installed and operational before the New Year if weather and temperatures will allow, with street lighting to be completed in January.

The Village of Glenview has met with ComEd to coordinate the relocation of the large green utility box located on the east side of Waukegan Road south of Pleasant Lane.  ComEd has completed the design necessary to relocate the box and construction required for relocation is scheduled for January.
