This week Berger Excavating completed excavation and preparation for asphalt widening along the west side I Waukegan Rd. and the south side of Chestnut Ave.  Berger's concrete subcontractor continued installation of concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk and driveway pavement.  The electrical subcontractor was also onsite excavating and preparing for installation of concrete streetlight foundations.  Also this week, the asphalt subcontractor began installation of asphalt base course widening.  Traffic delays should be anticipated particularly during paving operations.

Next week Berger's asphalt subcontractor will continue installation of asphalt widening and driveway pavement.  They will also begin to grind the existing asphalt surface in preparation for the new asphalt.  Berger's electrical subcontractor is scheduled to continue installation of street light and traffic signal foundations.  Also, Berger's concrete subcontractor is scheduled to continue sidewalk installation.  Berger Excavating will be onsite also prepping work and coordinating with subcontractors.
